Greetings! I am a philosopher of science. I received my PhD from the Interdisciplinary Program in History and Philosophy of Science at Seoul National University, with a dissertation on scientific understanding. My research focuses on scientific understanding and explanation, scientific realism and scientific progress, virtue epistemology, and AI ethics.

I teach courses on the philosophy of science and technology at the Department of Philosophy at Seoul National University and the School of Liberal Arts at Hanbat National University. I work as a researcher the AI ELSI Center, Seoul National University, on the project “Enhancing the Ethics of Data Characteristics and Generation AI Models for Social and Ethical Learning,” supported by Institute for Information & communications Technology Promotion (IITP) grant funded by the Korea government (MSIT)(RS-2024-00343989). I served as Editorial Secretary (2023–2025) and General Secretary (2019–2021) of the Korean Society for the Philosophy of Science.

In my spare time, I play the tenor saxophone and perform with an amateur saxophone ensemble.
